A Little Story
Green Dot Sub Shop owners Cindy and Dave Sneesby loved the beauty of Chelan, Wash., so much they traveled from their home in Snohomish with their children every summer for 20 years to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Cindy worked in sales and distribution management most of her career but when there was an opportunity to purchase a Green Dot Sub Shop franchise in Chelan in 2016, she and her husband took the leap. Then in 2019, the new restaurateurs purchased Green Dot Sub Shop in Manson, Wash.
With a background in sales, Cindy quickly honed her skills to apply to the Green Dot restaurant business.
"Sales requires you to want to exceed customer expectations with integrity," she says. "It's important to take one customer at a time and offer them a great experience."
Mentoring is also something that comes easy to Cindy.
"We want to offer the same great experience to our employees. We know that this is a first job for many of the young adults who work at Green Dot and we want to offer an environment to help them gain important skills for a lifetime."
Her goal for the popular sub shop is to grow and change with the environment as needed and continue to give back to the communities that support the two eateries.
Green Dot Sub Shop helps to provide meals to local firefighters and seniors, participates in the "Adopt a Family" program during the winter holidays, and is looking forward to offering monthly meals to families in need.
"Giving back in many ways is the whole purpose behind why we decided to become restaurant owners," Cindy says.
